Found three puppies in the mountains in a box?

ok so I live in the Tennessee mountains and I have a small 2 mile trail that I walk every morning. this morning I went walking and about half way in up the trail I found three small puppies with a box they look lab mix two are black and one is a rusty color the black ones are female and the rust one is a boy. they are covered in mud as we have had a lot of rain recently. so I went ahead and just left them there and finished my walk of course they had to be all cute and follow me the whole rest of the walk which was about one mile. but surprisingly when we got back to the box where I found them they stayed there I thought for sure they would follow me home and I kind of wanted them to so I could give them a bath and take them to the vet. so now I am wondering if their mom is out there somewhere. so now I am trying to figure out what I should do. should I go back and take just the pups, or should I go back and wait for the mom and then take the mom and the pups or should I just leave them there and hope for the best. and I live in a rural area so we dont have any animal control or anything like that so their is no one I can call to pick them up.

What's wrong with the heat: THEY NEED SHOOTERS!!?

If you notice, besides the big 3 the Heat doesn't really have a player that can dribble/create space and take a jump shot plus good 3 point abilty. Chalmers is not really a good 3 point shooter and he dribbles alot but he never pulls up for the jumper, he passes. The same with James Jones but he is a little bit better on the 3's. Carlos Arroyos is not a very good 3 point shooter and is known for that but he is good at dribbling/pull-up and taking a jumper. The only players that have both abilities is House and Miller but they are struggling shooting 3's and when they dribble they never take a jumpshot and instead they pass it ESPECIALLY Mike Miller. If you notice, all of Miller's shot attempts been 3 pointers. I have yet to see him take a jumper which by the way he is very good at especially when he creates space on the dribble. Heat should really considor trading Chalmers,Jones, and jamal mcgloire. I believe House and Miller can bounce back if they get more playing time. My dog is a killing machine. Why?

I used to have two pomeranians. Zeneth and Zorro. They were really attached to each other. They had puppies together and the male, Zorro, guarded Zeneth and the pups and even brought her food. Zorro was older than Zeneth, and when he got too old to defend his food from other dogs Zeneth helped him. They got depressed if they were apart. Last winter Zorro passed on in his sleep and Zeneth led me too him. When I buried him, she saw me and would not let me touch her for a week. She still goes out to his grave and visits him. (Strange, I know.) After he died she started killing. Rabbits, baby pigs, chickens, my pet duck, a baby goat, my dog's puppies, a kitten, squirrels, my neighbor's dachsund, goldfish,pet birds, frogs, a baby stork,(dont ask) an opossom, turtles, and anything else she can catch. She isn't even allowed in the room with my chihuahua. Her eyes turn solid black and she starts breathing hard and you just know she's about to kill. Is this because Zorro died? I would have to say so. While Arroyo has a better understanding of the game and is a better passer and ball handler than Chalmers. I feel that Wade and Lebron will do better with Chalmers starting alongside them. Chalmers has the speed to guard the fast point guards in the east like Rondo, Rose, and Nelson while Arroyo does not. Chalmers also has more range than Arroyo. And like Kobe and Jordan, Wade and Lebron do not need a traditional point guard because they can create their own shot. House breaking an apartment puppy?

I live on the 1st floor of a block with a green directly outside. It takes about 3 minutes to walk there. My french bulldog pup is 14 weeks old, I begun training him from 7 weeks on wee pads then when he had all his shots at 12 weeks to go outside. I take him out every hour and he is very good about doing his business. We are having few accidents in the flat as I take him out so regularly. When he does accident in the flat I scold him (but never hit). What I want to know is when will he will be able to communicate to me(by going to the front door) that he needs to go to the toilet. He is crate trained, although when we are in the same room together, the crate is next to my desk so I do not lock it. I only lock it when I go out shopping etc and his is fine. thank you

What Could I have Done Differently?

My Guinea Pig sow died Saturday from childbirth. I'm not sure exactly how old she was, but my guess is 7 months or so. She had two still born pups on Friday night at 9:30 pm- they were obviously under-developed because they had no hair, fused eyelids and ear buds that were not fully formed. After she had them, I removed them from the cage to let her rest...but I saw no blood, placenta or cords of any kind. The next day she was lethargic and obviously in pain. I noticed some bloody discharge in her cage. I wrapped her in a towel and put a hot compress on her to try to induce the discharge of the placenta and rubbed her belly gently. She seemed septic already and was shivering, and I though of giving her infants tylenol susp.-but I didn't want to give her anything that could damage her liver. My only thought was if the placenta didn't come out, or another pup was in there...she would die of sepsis. So, I put gentle pressure on her belly right above her vagina and held onto the cord coming out of her, but didn't tug or pull...yet she died on my lap after about a minute of trying at around 4pm, less than 24 hours after giving birth. I find it hard to believe she was that septic already. Was it me pulling the cord? Maybe the babies were dead for awhile and she was septic from that to begin with? I have no experience with this and her widow will remain alone because I DO NOT want to deal with this again. Does anyone have any input? Is this common?

Puppy questions?????

I have a 6 month old Border collie/ australian shepherd pup. Lately she has been very bad and have some questions about this. Is it time to get her spayed and is that one of the reasons she has been bad? Is this just puppy stuff that will pass with training? Have you ever expierienced any of these? Ok so she knows these commands, spin, sit, stay, come, down, off, jump, high five, paw, blow bubble, go get, and bring it. She used to listen to them all the time. Now she will only listens 50% of the time. It's really frustrating. Also another problem I have been having is excessive barking. She will bark at people she knows, barks at people on walks, barks at other dogs. When she barks at people she knows I almost think it's an excited bark but then she will keep backing up until she calms down. Like today she barked at me because I was gone for a day. And her hair stood up. I'm her favorite person too and don't understand why she did it. Also she barks viciouslly at other dogs on walks. Her hair stands up. Should i purchase a spray collar in aiding that? I have been throwing her tennis ball in front of her when she barks on walks but she has not improved. Help? Also she has like 3, 15 min training sessions a day.

After you clean the room with bleach, i would wipe everything down again with clean water to get off any residue the bleach may leave. I agree completely, they don't need a point guard as much as they need a center. Not to mention that their bench is garbage except for Miller. The two most important pieces of a team are PG and C, which the Heat have neither. They have a brilliant SG, SF, and PF and clearly it's still not enough to beat who DO have a good PG or C. Examples: Celtics have Rondo, Bulls have Rose. Both teams where they have an excellent PG.

What should be expected with pomeranian-chug puppies?

Approximately 4 or 5 weeks ago, my family inherited a female tan chug and a male chocolate Pomeranian, both fully grown. Last week we noticed that the Chug was looking a bit rounder and that she was acting really strangely when people would try to pick her up (contrary to before, when all she wanted to do was be held). We took her to the vet because we read online that pugs, let alone chugs, have a hard time giving birth and can have many complications. All he really told us was that she was definitely pregnant and that it may be possible for her to give birth to the pups naturally. I've searched online for any information on Pom-Chug mixes but nothing has really turned up. What should we be expecting with these puppies?

The newborn pup isn't finding the nipple, What to do?

My dog is giving birth right now she's had the first pup and cleaned him w/o any problems. I'm getting worried though the first pup isn't finding the nipple. It keeps going under her arm and looking for something there. I can't remember how long since he has been born, it's under an hour but atleast 30 minutes. My dog doesn't mind me touching it, so I've tried to lead it to the nipple. My dog has also tried positioning herself differently too. How long can he go w/o eating? Should I just give it more time? You already asked this question once and I guess you didn't like the answers. "Blown" can mean a lot of things. It doesn't always mean that the speaker will not work. I've had a lot of speakers on my bench that have had damaged voice coils but still worked. What you are describing is a classic sign of fatigued or loose voice coil windings or a misshapen bobbin. As I said, these things can not handle a lot of power, they have even been known to smoke and make strange odors. If they are not hooked up to a Bose amplifier unit and are hooked up to a standard receiver they could very well be getting full range sound (with bass). They aren't designed for that. That could well cause such damage. It's going to be difficult to impossible to get this thing repaired. Sorry, but decades of experience has formed my answer.

Lego Harry Potter Wii glitch?

Ok, so, I was playing around in Hogwarts (finished story mode) and trying to find a lot of the characters in there. I ended up going to Hagrid's garden and went into time turner mode and turned into Hagrid and Fang. At first I was like, "yeah ok," then when I got out, I was Hermione. But I was alone. I tried pressing 'c' and all but I stayed Hermione. So, I went back to Hagrid's garden and intp time turner mode and I was Hagrid and Fang again, even though there is clearly a chain that has Reducto written all over it. When I came back out again, I was still Hermione. And I was still alone. I tried to add a player and it says that there is one that is Fang but he's not there. My 2 dogs bread and just had 6 adorable puppies. It was the first litter. Everything is fine, she is very good with interaction with us as well as daddy doggy with the puppies. Is 4 weeks too early to start weaning a puppy?

Personally I'm not against gradually getting a pup used to other food sources that early but to take him off it completely??? I wouldn't do that but apparently some ppl think it's not a problem on the pup. Too me I'd have to watch the stool to make sure it's not too runny, if so then the puppy is having a problem digesting it, too hard and it's not getting enough fluids. As long as a mother is getting the extra nutrients a day, nursing does not become too draining, but should be stopped before 8 weeks entirely.

Dog sick after switching food?

Hi there, hoping that someone can help me out. I just recently got a puppy (he is about 7 months old). About five days ago we started transitioning him to a new type of dog food. Almost right away we noticed that his stool was getting a little bit looser and eventually it started coming out as a more pudding texture. Two days ago now we ran out of old food and could no longer slowly transition the dog. This is when I started to notice that his stool was getting to be more watery. He had trouble sleeping last night because his stomach was so upset. I did go and buy a bag of his old food yesterday hoping that that would help, I fed him the old food for all meals. He woke me up about three or four times during the night because he was whining and one time when I got up with him after going to the bathroom he vomited. I have been feeding him pure pumpkin as well as making sure that no one feeds him scrap food. I started to notice the loose stool about 4 days ago now. I am wondering if I should be taking my pup to the vet or if I should follow other advice that I have read and withhold his food for 24hrs before feeding him bland food like rice. Any helpful advice is very much appreciated.

There are two pups that they told me to please let them show them in the following tournament, because they will surely win (the dog technician cannot show them, but he will hook me up with someone that does it). I explained to them that I already have 2 Akitas, and a third dog would be mayhem. They told me that my old dog would not be a problem, because he is REALLY old and Akita develop strong personalities around 2 years old. Take him to classes for $130 + dollars? How about shots ($200 + approx.) Spaying a female ($350 +) neuter a male ($240 +)?? Grooming, also. That's daily work. If you are a responsible pet owner, the money things are a part of it. Plus food, and not people food, either. That is bad for a dog. When injured or sick, that costs a lot!! A broken leg, these days, is around $500.! Think, before you get any dog or puppy. It's not all fun and games.

it's like when a new baby comes, the 'older sibling' will always feel a bit rejected. from my experience what dogs love most if affection and care, so as long as you still feed it, give it walks and every so often a rub on the belly, i think she'd be okay. perhaps when the puppy gets a bit older and they can play properly together they'll grow. why don't you try taking her to a dog park, teach her how to be around other dogs?

I have a Purebred Miniature Poodle with an unbeatable personality and is very healthy. I have met her parents and brothers and their all happy and healthy, to this day. My question is that would I be considered a backyard breeder for breeding my dog that's only "imperfection is she doesn't have papers. She's a apricot and cream colored girl that meets every requirement in her breed but she has white/clear nails which I find to be prettier anyways. The thing is I already have 4 dogs and one was a rescue, all i rehabilitated and gave a better life. My dog had given birth to three puppies, however, the sad thing was two of the three puppies were stillborn. She had refused to push the first puppy out until it suffocated, the first puppy was born feet first. My pup is getting pretty stringy. Being a puppy, she's not always very interested in her food. She'll eat some, but usually not all I give her. I'm starting to worry. AND most importantly, she DOES NOT have some sort of parasite or sickness that's making her this way. We just got a nine week old boxer mix from a humane society. They told us that the litter was kept in a box for eight weeks. When they received the pups, they were extremley unsocialized. They worked with them for one week and they are much better! My question is how do I keep our sweet puppy socialized? Are park walks to much still? Thank you :)

My puppy won't eat her food?

I only got my pup yesterday a 8week old Samoyed, she seems to be settling in real well however, she has hardly touched her food. Ive been putting fresh food in her bowl 3 times a day and she has only eaten a mouthful out of the two days. Our dog is Pregnant now what!?

I wanted a small dog for our children ages 12 and 8. I found a military woman who was trying to find a home for her Corgi - we loved her and she had all her papers, shots - you name it. I have had her for 42 days now, Vet said just by feeling her and listening to her, she is pregnant. Go figure.. I can not get a return call from these people.. I am sad and angry at them! I wanted to have her fixed because we did not want to bring more dogs into this over crowded world. Now we have people lined up who would love one.. and of course we are choosing carefully. I have no clue what breed the other dog was, praying it was her size and not bigger. I am doing my research now about birth of pups.. any advice? We did not get an xray - worried about radiation and we are thinking about an ultrasound but figure heart beat sound and vet feeling, was good enough. She is def prego.. can I get her fixed right after she has her pups? She is an inside dog.. and also, she is only 9 months old.. : (

Wouldn't recommend it. The chlorine would still be present on the dog's nipples and it may make the puppies sick. You would have to completely bathe the dog before she went to her puppies . The chlorine smell alone could affect them. Get a kiddie pool for her with only fresh water, but she will need to be completely dry before returnng to the puppies.

Once you have curled your hair, try running your fingers or a light brush through it to take away the perfect curls and you should be left with the curls that she has, also try curling your hair in different ways, so that the curls turn out in different directions. This will also help it look more like hers. Failing that, you can always just tie your hair into many different little small buns when it is wet, sleep with it and in the morning your hair should look more like hers and then you can take it from there. Why does my dog randomly snap at people?

My lab/shepherd mix, about 10 months old, is generally a really kind pup. But sometimes I will be sitting down next to her on the floor, and she would randomly growl and actually bite me. She will then continue to bark like she is really angry about something. There are times where I have sat on the floor next to her for a LONG time playing with her without any trouble. The fic was a fairly long one located on fanfiction.net, and it was about Harry and Neville, who are best friends by the beginning of the story, already vanquished Voldemort before the start of the story, and how they deal with new issues. One of the things I remember most about the story is how they kept feeding Dumbledore false versions of how they defeated Voldemort.
