I REALLY want a baby guinea pig..?

I was planning on getting another guinea pig Wednesday, and I was considering a male--to go with my female. Then I read a page on cavyspirt.com that changed my mind completely. The only reason I wanted a male is so that I could have a baby guinea pig that would know me from the beginning, and would hopefully know me/trust me better...what do I do? I really want one, but I don't want to risk having 8 pups, or dangering my Pappy :( I was hoping that ince it would be her first, and last, litter she'd only have a few..then, i remembered that its not certain I'd get a girl, and boys would have to be seperated. Frankly, its stressing me out. I really had my heart set on a baby. Thats all I can think about..what do i do??
