$500 for X-ray?!?!?!?!?

My dog got a hip injury and the vet wanted to make sure it was ok. So, he said that my pup needed an xray. We asked the front desk for an estimate and they said about $400 plus other stuff. Are you serious??? They even charged us $90 for the check up when all he did was talk to us about how puppies can get injured and taking a look at my pups leg. Should i move to another vet???
