My chihuahua pup wont eat much?

i got my puppy last weekend and he will only take a few bites at a time of his food purina litle bites which the lady that i bought him from said he was on so i bought that so i didnt upset his belly. he sleeps alot. was born april 11th. he plays normally and pees and poops normally just getting worried because he wont eat much??
