How can I socialize our new puppy?

We just got a nine week old boxer mix from a humane society. They told us that the litter was kept in a box for eight weeks. When they received the pups, they were extremley unsocialized. They worked with them for one week and they are much better! My question is how do I keep our sweet puppy socialized? Are park walks to much still? Thank you :)
