Home theater help!!! PLS PLS PLS!!?
You already asked this question once and I guess you didn't like the answers. "Blown" can mean a lot of things. It doesn't always mean that the speaker will not work. I've had a lot of speakers on my bench that have had damaged voice coils but still worked. What you are describing is a classic sign of fatigued or loose voice coil windings or a misshapen bobbin. As I said, these things can not handle a lot of power, they have even been known to smoke and make strange odors. If they are not hooked up to a Bose amplifier unit and are hooked up to a standard receiver they could very well be getting full range sound (with bass). They aren't designed for that. That could well cause such damage. It's going to be difficult to impossible to get this thing repaired. Sorry, but decades of experience has formed my answer.
