My dog just had puppies. How long should we monitor her for?

My labrador has just had four healthy puppies. She is doing so well, and so are the pups. She gave birth on monday and had no complications. I was reading in one of the books I bought that she should be monitored in case she rolls on the pups. Just wondering if anyone else monitored their dog, and how long for ? Thanks.
